Late again, but here goes:

Like Bells – Like BellsInstrumental indie rock with a violin. Of course I dig it! You can actually get this one free at their label’s site right now, but since that won’t last forever, I’m keeping the Amazon link too. It’s got a little bit of an Explosions in the Sky vibe, but maybe a little more earthy. Check it out.

Andy McKee – Art of MotionI saw this guy on YouTube playing “drifting” and was blown away at his innovation on the acoustic guitar, so I bought his album on a whim. He slaps the instrument for percussion, plays bass lines with his left hand and taps harmonies with his right, he’s nuts! The album is great driving or working music. While highly technical, the music is incredibly relaxing and the lack of lyrics means it’s not distracting enough to pull you away from what you’re doing, if you have to be doing something else while listening. If you buy this album, I recommend you buy it on e-music because if you buy the actual CD, it’s import only and you’re looking at $18 or more!

Michael BublĂ© – Crazy Love
I’m lovin’ me some Michael BublĂ© this week. He’s embraced the Sinatra/Martin/Rat Pack style of Jazz and thrown in a little of his own flare. And it doesn’t hurt that he’s got that smooth, clean voice to share! I really like his second album “It’s Time,” and the latest, “Crazy Love,” is starting to grow on me as a whole project and not just individual songs.

David Cook – David CookI’ve been listening to Declaration by David Cook. Don’t write this guy off just because he did the American Idol thing and won. This is a solid pop/rock outing. my faves are: Come Back To Me, Barb-ba-sol, I Did It For You and Heroes. This dude’s voice is killer and the guitar work is good as well.
